This interior is built on tension: soft against structured, matte against polished, shadow against light.
Key Spaces
Living Room
The heart of the apartment features two low-profile, velvet-upholstered sofas with tufted detailing and generous proportions. Their grey tone and soft volume contrast with a striking coffee table set: one half monolithic black, the other light natural wood — geometric opposites in balance. A ribbed wool rug adds tactile softness underfoot. Nearby, a smoky glass floor lamp casts a diffused amber glow, creating a warm, ambient layer to the daylight pouring in from the terrace-side glazing.
Kitchen & Dining Area
The kitchen area remains visually discreet — matte black cabinetry with minimalistic brass accents blends into the background, while the open wine display and bar elevate the atmosphere of sophistication. The adjacent dining space is compact but deliberate, featuring sleek dark chairs and a wood-topped bar table framed by soft vertical lighting and architectural shelving.
Bedroom
The bedroom continues the palette of quiet richness — a low platform bed in dark textile upholstery sits against a warm-toned feature wall. Natural linen bedding in graphite and stone hues creates a layered, hotel-like mood. A built-in floating nightstand and recessed niche lighting provide subtle function without visual weight. Heavy blackout curtains frame the large windows, balancing light control with atmospheric depth.
Details
Color Palette
Graphite, charcoal, and deep taupe form the primary base, layered with accents in bronze, camel, and walnut wood. This palette creates a masculine yet sophisticated mood, with moments of softness and glow.
Materials and Textures
Velvet, wool, smoked glass, brushed metal, and rich wood textures dominate the material palette. Contrast is key — hard and soft, glossy and matte, raw and refined. Everything was selected to create an experience of tactile depth and visual weight.
Furniture
All furniture pieces are bold in profile but low in height — keeping the space grounded and lounge-like. Bespoke joinery provides structure, while sculptural accessories and asymmetrical forms keep the layout dynamic.
Lighting
Natural light is welcomed through large sliding windows, subtly filtered by sheer drapes. In the evening, atmosphere is created through floor-level lighting, wall-mounted fixtures with smoked glass diffusers, and candle-style accents that evoke warmth and intimacy without overwhelming brightness.
